When I'm in the hub, I often right-click on any items I want to read and open them in separate tabs. That way I don't have to worry about losing them when the hub is refreshed. This is only a short-term solution, however. If you aren't going to come back to it for a few hours, I think that creating a folder is probably better (I'll have to try it now).

Similar to what UppyEar said, I usually type my reviews elsewhere. I usually type them in Notepad and then copy them into the browser when I'm done. No cloud. Notepad is lightweight and fast. It doesn't do anything fancy- but you don't need it to! (Also comes with windows, so you should already have it.)
