Thank you for the interest, but as northernwrites said, I set the ending date for this competition of mine at June 23rd.

However, there are other contests that you could enter your poem into. I can't think of any Father's Day-themed ones, but there is the "Newbies ONLY Short Story & Poem Contest" , which has no prompts and accepts poetry and short stories. The June round is still ongoing.

The "Invalid Item"  has no prompts and accepts any poetry having "traditional" rhymes. Also, there's "Shadows and Light Poetry Contest" , a contest for free verse poetry rather than traditional poetry.

Then there's "Monthly Poetry Contest" , which is prompt-based and has a round ending today at 6 PM. One of the prompts is to use the word "dad" somewhere in the poem.

There are many more contests than I can recall -- "Contest Central Station"  has a large listing of many available contests on this site. Most of these contests receive more entrants than my little competition could draw, but they also give far greater prizes. Just remember to read all the details for a contest before entering.
