I think, to be on the safe side for copyrighting concerns, you should write to Wikipedia and get their approval in writing, even if Wikipedia is a creative commons project, as Elisa said.
Then if your book is going to be an informative book only for the objective of offering information, I suggest you check each piece of information from other more reliable sources, as well and put those in the bibliography. As a reader and a writer, I wouldn't trust information from only Wikipedia 100%.
It may just be that what Wikipedia has is correct, but many serious readers and writers do not trust it fully.
