Hi Steve the Writer,

Welcome back. Change is inevitable in our writing, in life, in personality, and in may other aspects. It's perfectly okay if you're writing has changed, and it's very fine if you have not written anything nonacademic. That's the whole reason there are so many categories to select from be it fiction, an article, nonfiction, shot story, chapter, etc. The site is not just for fiction stories but much much much more so you're in the right place.
