Oh, I'm definitely not giving up on the idea. It's too important to me to give it up. It's not as heretical as all that--God is still definitely good--but there are a ton of gods running around (Hermes is one of the three main characters), Lucifer=/=Satan (which is why he's good), and Adam is the actual villain. Mostly, humanity is dumb and twists God to fit their agenda. It's really all about the importance of Free Will.
