Noticing Newbies

I'm quite new here, however not at all new to writing. For the past 5 years, I've had a lot of trouble bringing myself to actually write. No matter how much of a good idea I think I have, no matter how much I crave to pick up a pencil and notebook and write, I simply find it a complete struggle to both get my ideas down and stick with said ideas if I can actually get myself writing. So, I'm here with the hopes that being in an actual writing community would help me keep up with my writing without losing my confidence or interest. And so, hello everyone!
