Noticing Newbies

Hey Kelley! The first step is of course to post something to your port. We will try to be kind. If I have any advice at all for you it is to remember that anyone who takes the time to review your work is doing it for two reasons. One because they think you have potential and they think you can make the piece better or because they love the piece already. The second reason is because through reviewing we improve our own writing.

We aren't like other sites where people review your work and then bash it for everyone to see just because we can. Everything we say here has a purpose and that purpose is to improve. I suggest you start with something your proud of. Then as the reviews come in remember your not being reviewed by critics. Your being reviewed by writers, people who have been there before and know the pitfalls of what they speak.

Most of the time if I point out a flaw in someones work its because I am trying to work that flaw out of my own work. I see it in your work because I know its in mine and I'm trying to make it leave. LOL

Your going to be fine. I promise. The best place to start is just post an item, then go to read and review on the left hand side and start reviewing. Balance your review with something good if you have something you think can be better. We can take it and so can you.

I want to see you meet all of your goals in life. I want to meet mine. Its the same for everyone here. We are here to help each other get there. So no worries. You got this.
