Agreed. I usually strike out everything I know I am going to get rid of at the end of November to make it easy to seperate but those words count. Don't throw them out. Actually according to the man who started Nano, every email, forum post, anything and everything we write, business reports, are part of our word count. Making them fit into a story well thats another story. But, you get the idea.

You can start over, but never ever throw out those words. You earned them.
