Noticing Newbies

Hello. I am happy to be part of the group now. Thank you for letting me join. I have been interesting in writing since my freshmen year in high school which I am sad to say was a long time ago. I am not that old. I am in my early forties though. I started writing poems in my free time in classes. I started to do it as a hobby for fun. Never thought I would want to write a book when I got older. Then came the TV show The Walking Dead. I loved the show so much I knew I wanted to write a book about zombies. Case in point it has been three years and a few distractions but I am back to writing on my zombie book now.
I love to read. I can usual read about two books a week. Once I get into a book I really like I can not put it down. I read the book White Christmas Pie and was having dreams about the book. I couldn't wait to wake up and read the book.
