Check out "Writing.Com Tools, over on the left side menus, and click on "Writing ML Help" It will explain how to use color, emoticons, etc.
For example, to get the color red you would put : {c:red}{/c} You get Red

There are more things you can do with the ML, so it's a good idea to check out the links on the side, or go to "Writing.Com 101"
