I'm going to try to help with your questions.

1. Is there a way to find other entries for any given contest? The easiest way for this would be to visit the contest forum directly and click on the entries listed there.

2. When I am reviewing an item and it is a contest entry, is there some way to go to that specific contest and see what the criteria were to aid my reviewing? This could be a little more tricky. If the writer of the contest entry doesn't link to the contest or make a note of what it was written for, you might have a tough time tracking down which contest it was meant to be entered into.

For the "What a Character" contest, that's an official WDC contest, so submission is a bit different than contests run by members and it doesn't have a forum. You could do a search of the site using the words "what a character", to see what items they pull up and if they pertain to that specific contest.
