Noticing Newbies

My name is Aubrey and I joined this website because I hoped to find some new writing communities where I could give and give feedback. I write short fiction, novels and comic scripts for the most part. I enjoy writing (and reading) genres like fantasy, sci-fi and other sorts of stories that bend reality a bit.

I just hit 50k for NaNoWriMo, my third time winning. I still need to write a bit more before the story is over and finish my edits of my Nano project from last year. I also have spent the last two years submitting stories to anthologies, in hopes of getting my name out there and getting things published. I've had one success so far, and though that doesn't feel like much, it still seems like a good accomplishment to me.

I'm still trying to figure this site out, since it's a little intense at first, but I'd happily accept any tips and tricks for settling in. :)
