Thanks for taking the time to provide such an in-depth explanation of your poem and mine. Can you explain a little more how syllables connect to the pentameter count?

I've been reading and re-reading and am still a little confused by all this.

I was able to da-Dum the meter in my head and now I can't. It was how I always measured iambic pentameter. I knew I was not where I needed to be with this poem.

Lots of info - maybe break this into two lessons? Just a thought:)
