Ok, not to confuse the issue more, but when I pop your poem into the syllable counter, each line has 12 syllables. What determines the difference between it being tetrameter and hexameter? Is it the location of the stresses?

It seems to me that the stress location could vary depending on how a poem is read, where one places inflection on any particular word.

Thoughts?
