Ah, but I think it's entirely possible to do tag-line free short stories where the dialogue works. Both because there are so few characters that they can all be very distinctive and because it's hard to stuff so many action beats in there that it breaks the story.

I don't know why, but I took it to mean that the 200K words were a novel. I must have been too tired when I read your post.
