A snafu with "Long, Long, Long" [18+] receiving entries well before I started the current round made me wonder a couple things. That's right. I'm looking for feedback!
I know it's been about two years since I've entered a contest. In that time, I've lost sight of what's (not) popular among contests run by staff. I also have limited insight into what people want in contests these days. Are people still looking for prompt contests, or is there greater demand for independence in choosing a topic? Do people want contests for things besides poetry and fiction that's 2,000 words or less? (The surprising amount of activity in my contest makes me wonder a lot about that second question.) Simply put, what do site members look for in contests these days (aside from being efficiently run with easy to understand rules)?
