Creative peaks? I actually look at it in an inverse way.

To me creativity is running across a sugar crust and from time to time I fall through into something even sweeter than I imagined. I like to think of it as falling rather than climbing because when it happens I have a sensation of no effort being required. Creative gravity takes over and the words just tumble out.

I have found no way to make it happen other than the more I write the more likely it is to happen. If it happens it happens, but it's sweet when it does.
