Hi ruth,

I was advised with one of my contests, to offer a merit badge, preferably an exclusive merit badge if your funds can allow it, or an awardicon in preference to a gp prize.

I don't know if you do this already but, for example, I was offering 10,000gps as a prize. After the advice, I changed it to an awardicon and I've commissioned a merit badge. I don't get masses of entries but I'm on round 8 now and at least I do get entries every round. Entries definitely picked up when I changed prizes.

Also, you might consider an optional prompt - this gives members the best of both worlds. Some writers like a prompt and others prefer to use their own ideas. Just a thought.
