You aren't alone here. I know several writers who have mentioned in their writing that they have Asperger's Syndrome.

Plugging "Asperger's" into the search box resulted in 38 items.

I have never been able to tell if a person has autism or not from the way they write, so I imagine there are writers here who have it but just decline to mention it.

Since some of the definitions of autism include "a marked preoccupation with fantasy", it's not surprising that writing would be a popular thing for autistic people to do.
