Spring Update
Summer goals will start in June but it's about time I did an update on the spring goals as I haven't been around much.

1. Write in NorthWest and Boys Read Romance
I have worked some in NW but not much in BRR. Almost done with NW and plan to write at least the rest of the chapter I'm on before bed. Only have 2-3 chapters left for draft one.

2. Catch up in contests/reviews
Still behind in reviews and such. Need to post more rounds on the judge calendar and find judges.

3. Prepare for powerlifting meet
Done. Meet was in April and now I'm figuring out a lifting routine to follow over summer as won't compete again until October.

4. Read 1-2 books
Fail. I do need to work on this reading. I brought a book to work and I've read in it a whole 2 times. End up on my phone after I eat, instead of reading snippets in the 10 minutes I have before the break ends. I need to rearrange my schedule and plan reading time.

5. Dairy only once a week. Protein bar exception on 1/week.
Not so much lately. I did well for a little while but I've had little bits of dairy lately but not things like cheese or ice cream or anything like that. Just little things that include small amounts when they were made. After vacation will be a bit more vigilant on this.


Have so much going on in May. Still working out but need to figure out a program to follow over summer. I am still trying to lose weight and that means eating in a deficit for the time being. My goal is to be at maintenance or even gaining a little when I do the peak cycle, which is the training that leads up to the meet. Seems a good idea to compete while having a very small surplus in calories next time instead of being on low calories. Plus, my goal is in a lower weight class and I'm thinking that I'd rather compete in the same weight class for 2016 then next year work at doing everything in the lower one.

I plan to finish draft one of North West this month too. Almost there. Then I can work on other YA first drafts but I also am going to start rewriting Aeon Fading into 2 books cause at almost 180k, the first draft is too long. Plus, I need to submit TT to agents.

Aside from that, I have stuff going with work. Cardio is involved too for the fitness side. I have a 10k coming up this month but it's not where you run the whole distance for a set time. Not that simple. It's a terrain run, which means obstacles.

Before that, however, is my vacation. I'm spending 5 days in LA with my sister. So far the plans include lifting with a friend on instagram, eating sushi somewhere and maybe finding a vegan donut place that has delicious looking donuts.


A lot going on so my attendance is a bit patchy on this time but I'm working on it. Oh, and I started a youtube channel. Cause I needed more to do. *Wink*

Lots for this month and also can't wait to get summer goals figured out. Hope everyone else is a having a good, productive May.
