Yes, you can work on it whenever you have the time. There's not even a set amount you have to write each day. As long as you meet your target at the end of November, it's fine. From memory, I think there were points during the month when you could validate your word count. But I don't think you had to. I'm not sure. It all passed in a bit of a haze last year!
