Ok, I've added 2 more levels of grey. Any darker and you probably can't see the text.
You do have to hold "Shift" and click your browser reload button to get it to update after a change... I'll have to look into the possibility of fixing that...
Also, you can check through the skins for a darker top and background. You can also customer a skin's theme and make things a bit darker.
