I'm sure it's been discussed many a time in a community that's been around as long as WDC, but I thought I'd throw this out there so newbies like myself can pick up a few pointers from the veterans.
How do you get yourself started writing each day? Whether it's something for WDC or some longer project of your own, how do you prime your creative pump?
For myself, it's some kind of household chore. It doesn't really matter what...dusting, scrubbing down the kitchen, whatever necessary task (and there's never not a necessary task) is at hand. If it's far from my desk I take along a notepad so I don't lose anything vital before I'm able to return to my keyboard. But there's something about the physical activity that seems to get the ball rolling for me. And it's exercise, so it's healthy, right?
