Noticing Newbies

I just joined the site today as an attempt to get back into writing after many years of not doing much at all. I want to hopefully realize some of the ideas floating around in my head and get them down on paper with the guidance of what seems to be a fantastic community of creative minds.

I have mostly written poetry and short stories in the past, and want to get back to writing poetry regularly. My biggest project that I have been exploring is ideas for a dragon novel. For a couple years now I have periodically tried to gather research and write bits and pieces, but I haven't gotten very far. I would like to actually progress on that.

Until I figure out what formats actually upload to the site (I was having trouble today) I will mostly be looking around learning the site and available to review or edit.
