Noticing Newbies

I don't remember if I've introduced myself here or not, but as I approach my one month anniversary with WdC, I thought I'd say hello and express how thrilled I am to have found this group. I've had the pleasure of meeting some very nice people and have received excellent feedback on my work. It's nice to be involved with like-minded people that take the time to encourage one another, constructively. I'm truly grateful.

About me... I'm married, mid-fifties, mother of one son and grandmother to two beautiful princesses. When I'm not writing I enjoy cooking/baking, entertaining, reading, music, and movies.

I've held a couple different careers throughout the years. I've worked as a Technical Writer (software manuals, teaching materials, and such) and as a Paralegal. I stopped working a few years ago and am now taking my writing seriously, pursuing it, and writing every day.

I am currently working on a novel and have two other tales brewing in the back of my mind which I'll pursue after the initial project is completed. In the meantime, I'm enjoying writing short-stories and entering contests here.

I'm enjoying reading everyone's tales and am trying to leave reviews on a daily basis.

I'm looking forward to meeting many more of you!
