Re: How to add a passkey to a novel's chapters?
by Past Member 'northernwrites'
Use the edit function.

To add a passkey to individual entries, view the entry, click the gear icon at the upper right of the entry (not the upper right of the page), and click Edit Entry. The Passkey field is the third textbox on the edit entry page. Add the passkey. Save the edit.

Note that the passkey on an individual entry is only useful if the entry is set to a higher restricted access than the entire Book item's access restrictions. If all the entries are accessible to anyone who can view the Book, setting one passkey for the entire Book is usually sufficient. For more information, see Passkeys from Writing.Com 101 Open in new Window.

To set the passkey for the entire Book item, view the Book item, click the gear icon at the upper left of the page, and click Edit Item. Scroll down to the Advanced section and click to open it. Find the Passkey text box and enter the passkey. Save the edit.

Then you'll need to edit your posting in the novel group to add the passkey information.

Hope that helps.
