Dave, this challenge hit me right in the heart and caused me more than a few moments of tasting grief. But that's good, since 2017 took a handful of loved ones from my life. This poem has been a helpful release of some of that continuing grief. I have a great number of mentors in my life, but none were greater than my Dad. I hope you will enjoy this tribute to one of the dearest men in my life. I have been very raw in this post, probably it is more raw and open than most of my posts. I just wanted you to get to know my Dad, and to realize that "the apple didn't fall very far from the tree." "Encomium: "Dad"" ![]() |
