That is true. When reading online and when considering reviews, the shorter works will get more. Shorter contests will also get more entries in general, though some still struggle to get entries on a regular basis. A long writing contest is hard to keep up, get entries and hard to judge with reading the really long stories online.
But the reading and feedback is a part of what the site offers. Even without that, for longer stories, there is a usefulness. I've found it helpful to have drafts of novels and such on the site as a backup. When my computer crashed and I've struggled to get my external hard drive to connect (also hadn't updated it recently), I didn't lose the novels because I had them here on the site. Not getting reviews on them but there is a use for having them here aside from those elements too.
