hello all, new member, where to start?

Hello Everyone,

I am Pieter from The Netherlands.
Just made an account looking for tips, advice & tools mostly.

I am not a writer but a reader with interests in starting to write soon(ish)
Mostly reading fantasy and some sci-fi.
Currently reading Malazan (at book 7, reapers gale), then have the dune triology lined up and then 2 small spanish books and Harry potter 1 (in ES) for learning spanish.


The layout of the site has me a bit overwhelmed at the moment.
Where should a newbie start? and what parts of the site are most helpfull?
