I'm not exactly sure where my inspiration comes from. Sometimes I'll have an experience that will directly influence or inspire a story, but otherwise it just comes out of the blue. That can be more fun, actually, because then it turns into a bit of an archaeological dig. I pry the story out of a rock bit by bit, with nothing but a toothbrush.

I generally write historical fiction, horror, and sci-fi.
