Some writers have more distinctive voices than others.

For example, compare Edgar Allan Poe ( https://www.poemhunter.com/edgar-allan-poe/poems/ ) with Robert Frost ( https://www.poemhunter.com/robert-frost/poems/ ) or Ted Kooser ( https://www.poemhunter.com/ted-kooser/poems/ )

Those that cannot be distinguished just blend into the crowd.
