A few spontaneous observations: 1. Repetition can be a powerful tool when used for specific effect, but the frequent repetition of the neutral article "The" does not appear to serve any purpose. 2. The irregular variation in line lengths from three to eight syllables projects a tone of anxious agitation, which does not conform with the pictures you are painting. Uniform lines or variation in a specific pattern would seem more suitable to this theme. 3. In the last stanza, "Once again" and "revisit" are redundant. Shel Silverstein used iambic meter to good use in his poem The Voice: https://iwastesomuchtime.com/72034 . Robert Frost used the power of rhymes in his Good Hours: https://www.poets.org/poetsorg/poem/good-hours . Let the creativity flow from your soul! Dave "The Poet's Place " |
