| LOL! Y'know, I've always thought that meter and rhyme were invented just to "make life difficult"! Here's my second attempt: The Joys of Reading I curl up in my corner, A book within my hand. Prepared to stay for hours, Exploring foreign lands. The rain goes pitter-patter Upon the window sill, But, where I am, it's cosy; The sun is shining still. Brave knights in shining armour Send dragons to their doom. Great heroes with much valour Arise when darkness looms. The air con is now freezing, But I don't feel the chill. The villain is escaping! I'm caught up in the thrill. Disturb me not; I'm busy! Can't you just leave me be? And no, I am not crazy — Just lost in fantasy! Err . . . more rhythmic now? (It would probably take more practise before my poems start "singing" though.) ** Images For Use By Upgraded+ Only ** |
