Yes. People reviewing my reviews have accused me of writing reviews that read "more like lessons in writing," but many recipients have expressed gratitude for the in-depth analysis. The few "unhappy" recipients were actually experienced writers who objected to being treated like beginners, failing to recognize that I was addressing a particular piece of work, rather than the author.
