I found the same thing. My reading used to be quite eclectic and wide and varied - now I find myself disinterested by a lot of stuff.

The worst has been horror. I was a voracious reader of horror. Now I find myself just reading a few authors, and not all the time. Of my publishing credits, over 20 have been in the horror genre. I've always thought there was a link; I spend half my time writing horror and thinking about horror and plotting horror.


So, yes, I feel your pain... like a knife along the nerves of my subconscious...
