She lies in a hospital bed
Her eyes swollen
and she worries deep


In her mind and she cannot sleep
Her health is going downhill fast
She knows she cannot last
Her mind is in a terrible state
Inside her head what will be her fate
And wonders where her children will sleep
When her light goes out for keeps.
