Uhhh...I didn't THINK I was still affected by it, but now that you mention your mom's best friend... I also sometimes smell cigarette smoke in my apartment. I live in a non-smoking apartment and know the folks on the left and right side, so I know it's not them. I just always assumed it was the person above or below me, but I had no idea how their smoke got into my apartment, especially so strongly. Sooo...Maybe it's not... On the good side, that might explain some stuff. On the bad side, I've reported it to the apartment manager at least twice.
