Awww! Okay, I guess they are a couple of killjoys, and heaven knows I have to torture the storyline to keep the masks active once Frank and Joe have entered the plot. But I do try to make them a pair of entertaining killjoys!

But I totally get what you're saying, and it is rare that I reach for them on account of the way they wind up killing the party.

I said in the OP that I can't pick a favorite because that's like picking my children. And sure enough, each character mentioned so far gets a "Yeah! Yeah! Oh yeah!" from me. I will confess that as an author I get a particular kick out of writing for Frank and Joe, Chelsea, Steve Patterson, and the so-far--unmentioned Stephanie Wyatt.

BTW, I've appended a "Question of the Week" tag to the front of this thread topic. I hope to make it the first in a series.
