Noticing Newbies

So I've been here for a couple of weeks,and having made only a minor impact, that is, drawing a small amount of attention, I thought I might introduce myself, really being uncertain as to how all of this works. I've been writing stories for quite some time, most of them unusual, but all of them having typological or allegorical meaning. I'm 49 years old, highly educated and passionate about learning more, all the time. I'm a data analyst by trade (right now anyway). I have my Masters degree in Divinity and was formerly a high school teacher in the private school system, teaching mainly religion, history and ancient languages. Linguistics, meta-ethics and paleo-anything are my topics of interest.
