Thanks for the advice. My first choice for a beta reader has published a lot on his own, and I doubt would be interested in plagiarizing my work; our styles and approaches are too different.
I have made an effort to avoid plagiarism of the original work; my story precedes the events of the first film and I’m not making anything from it. Besides, why retell someone else’s story when there’s so much else to write about?
