Hi, WOCA, I have a room in my house where I can close the door if necessary, although it is left open most of the time. While I write I listen to my favorite soothing music, Kitaro, found easily on YouTube. I also have a 30 gallon fish tank next to my desk which helps me relax when I get flustered about how to carry a story forward. Remember, regardless of length, a story begins with the first sentence. When you have an idea write/type the first sentence that comes to mind. When I do that I find it easy to add sentences. Doesn't matter if they don't make sense and they'll be deleted later, just getting started with that first sentence should send you on your way. Good luck in your writing endeavors.
