There are alternatives to scrolling back to the top, though dragging the scroll bar with the mouse is pretty fast.

Either of these options allow you to maintain your place on the long page:
*Bullet* Keep another tab open and flip over to that page to use its nav menus.
*Bullet* Use the new tab button and a browser favorite to open another WDC page.

Or if you're done with the long page, you can right-click and reload the page.
