Hi, Scifiwizard Retired.
I understand your pain about losing your father. I was 38 when my dad died and he was 81, but I'd more or less taken care of him for the last 20 years of his life and we were pretty close.
About the only thing I can think of to help you get back 'in the groove' would be to 'just do it'. I know that probably sounds cliché, but I really don't see any other way around it. The memories will always be there, and you need to hold onto those instead of dwelling on his passing.
I'm sure he'd want it that way, don't you?
By the way, my father passed away exactly 9 years before your father did: April 8th, 2004. What a coincidence, eh?
