In addition to what Cinn said,

You can find troubleshooting tips for WML usage in Enhance Your Item With WritingML from Writing.Com 101 , including some information about what cannot be done with the tags.

Rather than using jumplinks within the dropnote, it might work better to use an individual dropnote for each title and put the comments about each book in those individual dropnotes.
