The Leper

A leper approached Christ from among the crowd
Crying out in a voice so plaintive and loud
The leper cried, “Jesus, I know you can heal
If You say to me only, Surely, I will.”

God’s heart was then filled with compassion and love
And the plan ordained from His Father above.
Then Jesus, God’s Son, with tenderness and grace
Reaching out gently to touch the leper’s face

Replied to the leper, “Yes, surely, I will.”
And with His tender touch, The leper was healed.
The leper rejoiced loudly praising His name
For now among men, he was now made the same.

Jesus gave His own life to set our souls free
When He paid for our sins on Calvary's tree,
So just like the leper by faith we can say
Praise God for I know that I am healed today!
