“Practice makes us perfect,” the wise men like to say.
And I am in agreement in every writing way.
Especially penning poetry hones skills that still surprise
Me as I view the world around me through a poet’s eyes.
For writing rhyme and rhythm both take diligence and skill,
Along with inspiration, it requires strength of will.
Yes, practice makes us better in our quest to touch our peers,
And poetry’s the best way to accomplish this, My Dears.
