I so much agree with you and your thoughts. But, like me, and I am sure so many others, you are not only giving a gift of your time to the author, but to yourself as well. I learned this lesson the hard way! I gave reviews, but I have to admit not that many until I found myself on the one in need side. I am fighting to save my current membership before it expires and I began giving a lot of reviews. I found SO many great and good in progress stories, learned a lot of new techniques, even answers to my own questions about writing through examples. I now, for as long as I will be able to, give one each day. I really like our Newbies.
