Re: DISCUSSION: The Nature of Poetry
I probably did this wrong, but here is a poem in two different ways.

Meeting God
By Lisa Noe

I recall giving my life to God
Dressing in a thin white gown
In the church baptism booth
I was nervous but I was without frown.
I was just a little girl and I wanted
Jesus to come into my soul.
I was so innocent, some would say carefree.

Many years later I went forth in Church and got saved
I took an oath that I would follow the teachings of Christ.
I was happy to put my sins in the past
Hoping that this time my will would last.
Now I was older and could understand
I look at Jesus as if he is my friend.
I gladly follow Him where ever He leads me.

Meeting God
By Lisa Noe

I recall meeting God
I dressed in purity
For all to see
I was happy to meet God
My heart was pure and innocent
I was a little child
My soul was so mild

As a young woman in later life
I took the oath to follow Christ
My heart feels free Just like God sent
Me his Son to make me innocent
I long to see the face of Christ
He lives within me, I feel Him there
I will follow him where ever he goes
