Every item has an item number. It's below the title in the item header. For instance, this forum's number is 303715. That's the number you use to link the item.

To make a b-item link to this forum, you'd type: {b-item:303715}

Note the brackets and the colon.

When you do this in an edit box and save (or preview) the text, that will turn into:
