Notes have been editable for a long time. Click the down arrow in the upper right corner of the note to open the note's tool menu. It doesn't like repeated edits -- reload the page if you need to edit again.

Editing comments to notes has been a thing on StoryMaster's wish list for quite a few years, if that answers your question about how easy it would be. Comments to Book entries aren't editable either. Also, when you post a comment on a note or an entry, people get email copies. Editing the comment wouldn't correct the copies.

If necessary, you can delete your comment (to a note or an entry) and repost a corrected version.
